Hypothesis examination in this research used T-Test. In experiment class, some methods and activities were given related to the application of maritimeculture based on basic chemistry laboratory meanwhile in control class the method used was a kind of conventional method. Samples in this research were A class students as experiment class and B class students as control class. The method used in determining the sample was surfeited sampling method. The population of this research includes all of the students in chemistry education major who take basic chemistry which is divided into A class and B class. This research was a quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design.
